What is a BP? Meaning of Borderline Personality Disorder

A personality disorder is a pattern of feelings and behaviors that seem appropriate and justified to the person experiencing them , even though these feelings and behaviors cause many problems in this person’s life and those around the person.

The term “borderline” refers to the fact that people with this condition tend to “stick” to diagnoses of other mental health conditions, including psychosis.

One of the ironies of this disorder is that people with borderline have a positive intention of craving connection, but their intense and unstable emotional responses tend to alienate others, causing long-term feelings of isolation.
