According to psychologist Kendra Cherry, you can describe mindset as follows:

Psychologists define mindset as a learned tendency to evaluate things in a certain way. These can be evaluations of people, problems, objects or events. Such evaluations are often positive or negative, but can also be mixed or uncertain at times. For example, you may have mixed feelings about a particular person or issue ”.

Mindset according to Wikipedia & Mindset.com

Mindset.com defines mindset as a collection of beliefs and thoughts. Wikipedia also describes mindset in a similar way:

Mindset is the collection of beliefs and thoughts that form the (mental) attitude, habits or attitude that predetermines one’s interpretations and reactions to events, circumstances and situations.

Your mindset therefore also has to do with the beliefs you have. According to Tony Robbins, a belief is simply a sense of certainty about something. For example, if you believe you are intelligent, you say, “I am sure I am intelligent.”

When your idea about something is certain, it becomes a belief. Your beliefs then determine your attitude and your actions.
